TSD Announces Interim Deputy Superintendent of Teaching, Leading & Learning
The Toppenish School District is pleased to announce that on February 9, 2026, the Board of Directors confirmed the hiring of Dr. Jeff Camero as our Interim Deputy Superintendent of Teaching, Leading and Learning. Dr. Camero will officially begin his role on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
This position became available after Dr. Robinson accepted an offer last month to serve as Superintendent of a school district in Texas. We are grateful for Dr. Robinson’s leadership and wish her continued success in her new role.
Dr. Camero brings a wealth of experience to Toppenish, with a career that spans classroom teaching, building leadership, and district-level administration. He has served in executive leadership roles in Ohio, Arizona, and Oregon, including several years as a Superintendent with the Interior Bureau of Indian Education. His professional background also includes work as an adjunct professor preparing future school leaders.
He is deeply committed to student success, equitable access, and strong community involvement. Dr. Camero is known for promoting innovative, data-driven instructional practices, building positive school cultures, and fostering strong relationships with staff, families, and community partners. His training includes AVID certification, leadership through the COGNIA accreditation process, and extensive experience in strategic planning and instructional leadership.
Dr. Camero earned his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Toledo and is excited to return to Washington with his wife to serve the Toppenish community.
Please join us in giving Dr. Camero a big Wildcat Welcome!
